Outbound Sales

Outbound Sales is a process of sales reps contacting - through outbound sales calls and emails - potential customers to generate sales or an interest in becoming a customer.

Outbound Sales often rely on cold calling a contact list or contacting leads who have engaged with the brand through internal marketing efforts.

There are two main types of reps who handle outbound sales.

First, Sales Development Reps whose task is to research and contact leads who might be a good fit for a brand.

Second, are the Lead Response Reps who are responsible for contacting leads who have first been engaging with a company’s content.
