Initial Public Offering

Initial Public Offering (IPO) is the process of offering shares in a private corporation to the public for the first time. Most of the time, companies that grow at a rapid pace need to quickly raise money and that’s when they use IPO to get the needed funding.

Initial Public Offering can be also described as a public offering or, commonly used, “going public”.
