Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) is a form of cloud computing that provides virtualized computing resources over the internet. The purpose of IaaS companies is to let their customers perform certain tasks that they normally wouldn’t be able to do, due to computing power limitations.
IaaS is one of the three main categories of cloud computing services, along with SaaS and PaaS.
The main advantage of IaaS is that it is often cheaper and easier to use its services, contrary to when a company would have to build the whole infrastructure on its own.
Some of the IaaS companies are Zapier, Amazon AWS, and Microsoft Azure.
