Gatekeeper

Gatekeeper is the person who decides on whether certain information or a specific person should get to another member of the company. Gatekeepers are mostly receptionists or assistants who are easy to get into contact with but make it harder to directly get to the target-person.

Often, when you try to contact the decision-maker, you’ll have to first get through a gatekeeper.
