Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR)

Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) is a position in a venture capital firm usually taken by an accomplished executive who, most often, has already exited from one of the companies (usually one of the portfolio companies of the firm).

Entrepreneur in Residence is granted an office space and resources needed to create next, successful company that a venture capital firm will fund.
